Life's too short for regrets

There are many experiences in life that I wish I hadn't had.

But if I had to do it all over again, would I choose to skip those experiences? Not a chance.Like we're told in all time-travel movies, you change even one little thing about your past, the ripples could make everything worse. Or even if not worse, just totally different. Did we learn nothing from The Butterfly Effect (side note: I LIKED that movie. Fight me.)The point is, we are our past. Non, je ne regrette rien.I wouldn't change how others treated me, either, because that's had even more of an effect on me than the things I've done. Others' actions, however hurtful and painful they may have been when they happened, helped shape and mold me into the woman I am today.I'm the wife, mother, friend that I am because of my experiences and how I absorbed them.Allow yourself to feel sad when bad things happen. But then make them worth something, and force them to make you better.
